In 2016 many voters wanted change from this type of policy and wanted to vote for Bernie Sanders, but the Democratic Party screwed Bernie over and put Hillary Clinton on the ticket. In the world of least-worst option voting, many voted for Trump for the simple reason that they did not want more of the same, and Hillary would have most certainly been more of the same.
