MOUTH VS. NOSE BREATHING

In this video, we went over the difference between breathing through the mouth verses the nose. The primary difference here is that the nose is linked to the parasympathetic nervous system which has to do with resting and digesting. In other words, breathing through the nose relaxes us. On the other hand, breathing with the mouth causing a sympathetic drive which release and increases stress hormones in the body such as adrenalin and cortisol, which lead to blood being sent to the periphery as preparation for battle which impedes upon digestion.
