This is my response to Season 7, Episode 1 of "I Am Jazz." I expected horrors and I was still unprepared for the inferences that I made while watching it, that I am very hopeful will help other young people who developed compulsive eating behaviors following puberty blocker administration.

A core argument in this episode is that the puberty blockers directly malformed Jazz's hypothalamus, which relies on gonadotropin releasing hormone exposure at a pulsatile (rhythmic, fluctuating) rate to form. Lupron, a puberty blocker, is a gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogue that is 20x as powerful as the natural version. I am arguing that this is clearly resulting in a Prader-Willi-like syndrome that has left Jazz with joint hypermobility, obesity, and cognitive impairment.

One mechanism behind Prader-Willi is a malformed hypothalamus that has impairment in the ability to experience social emotional pleasure from the act of eating. One mechanism behind Prader Willi's effect on the hypothalamus is the result of Chromosome 15 deletions that affect production of gonadotropin releasing hormone. I further argue that they are all very clearly aware of this, hiding it (because it is not in their interests to acknowledge the disability), and are attempting to instead abuse Jazz into taking full responsibility for his inflicted neurodevelopmental disability.

Although I could find no public record stating that Jazz Jennings is under conservatorship, Greg Jennings states during the episode that they attempt to manage Jazz's clearly pathological eating by "throwing away food" and "limiting his access to money." What right do they have to do that? This is a Dr. "Wee Li'l Chonkies" Gallagher crossover episode that also depicts the sacrament of the revision surgery (including the rite to a special bandaid). There is also the comic relief of Jeanette and Jackie acting sexually inappropriate at a life drawing class while role-modeling for their literal grand/daughter.
