USMC Evans Lighter Cleaned Detailed & Restored

This 1950’s Evans lighter with the USMC logo was sent to me by a viewer to see what could be done. After learning the history of the lighter and its previous owners story who served our country. I agreed to fix it up and detail it.
It wasn’t a full restoration because we wanted to keep it as original as possible but also have it fully functional. Looking at this finished lighter, and knowing the challenges that it had because of its design, age and current physical state, I believe it looks fantastic and it is fully functional. Mission Accomplished!
It was a great challenge and honor to have worked on this lighter. I would like to thank the owner very much for allowing me the opportunity to be a small part in their families story.
The video was an afterthought that's one of the reasons the process isn't as well documented and captured in the best quality but I wanted to provide a short video of some of the process for the family.
