Odysee Kowtow's to Rumble's Legal Threat

Note, I am not a lawyer. I'm not attempting to say that rumble would win any lawsuit, or is legally capable or legally justified in suing, or if Rumble could win a lawsuit. I'm just stating why it doesn't bother me that they would protect their investment by threatening to sue.

To summarize:

Saying "rumble is using bots to swindle investors" is different from "this may indicate Rumble is using bots to boost their numbers". IMO, using definite language and tacking on the intent of "swindling investors" without solid proof becomes defamation with intent of attacking your competitor's income, as opposed to free speech. If you don't have solid evidence, you have the right to start a conversation about it, but don't use definite language. If you spread and/or start a lie that harms someone's finances, don't be surprised when someone asks a court for compensation. There should, of course, be a high bar for this in court. Err on the side of freedom of speech.

If more evidence that Rumble is using bots to boost their numbers comes out, I will gladly side with Odysee on this issue. Until then, I'll have to only side with Odysee over Rumble on nearly every other issue but this one.
