You know what is damn sad? Is that almost three months ago to the day, Senator Josh Hawley stood at the very same podium in the very same chamber and said the following words, and I quote word for word, "And I for one am not willing to look the other way, so let me be clear. I will not consent to the nomination of 'any' nominee for the Department of Defense or for the Department of State, until Secretary Austin and Secretary Blinkin and Jake Sullivan resign." - US Senator Josh Hawley, September 14, 2021, Floor of the U.S. Senate.

Did I miss three of Joe Biden's criminal appointees resign? I know I've been asleep since September 14, 2021, but I have not been sleeping since September 14 and I'm sure I would not have missed that. Yet here we are in December of 2021 and the same U.S. Senator Josh Hawley agrees that he has no objection to two of Biden's nominees proceeding. He literally agreed to doing what he so adamantly stated 3 months ago that he "would not do" until his demanded terms were first met. And not one of them has resigned as of yet. Not one.

This is the problem that Americans like me have with the people that we send to Washington DC expecting that they do what they freaking say they're going to, but not one of these pricks has the fortitude or the resolve, or the decency to stick to their word with one exception that I know of for sure in the US Senate and that is Senator Kennedy for Louisiana.

There may be others, but Josh Hawley just demonstrated to me that his words are completely meaningless because he doesn't honor them. Period. There's no taking this back, as clear as day he broke his word and it only took the man 3 months to do so. I certainly do hope that whatever deal he made for the two nominees he wouldn't object to were worth the perceived value of his word in this world, because it isn't worth anything as far as I'm concerned, at this point in time, and moving forward, backward, sideways, vertically, or horizontally back in time either.
