[E9] Hawk 250 Chain rubbing on tire, grind noise at times, chain guide alignment. enduro dual-sport

The chain on my hawk was rubbing on the knobbies on the tire. upon further inspection I found the chain guide to be so far off its was useless and probably the problem. I'll have to drive it a few times to be sure but the small test drive I took it did not hit. the chain also used to make a grinding noise once in a while. I think it was the guide pushing it off the sprocket... I also found that with 500 miles my chain was shot. It's a non O-ring chain but I would expect it to last a little longer. Ordered an O-ring chain!
