My Grandpa Passed Away . . . I Miss Him Like Crazy.

My Grandpa Passed Away after many years of his heart failing. I love him so dearly and deeply, he meant the world to me, and the whole family misses him like crazy. This is why the Channel has been quiet lately, and will take some time to get back into things.

Little "Speech" I wrote in honour of my Grandpa:

I love you, Pappie. I'm going to miss you so deeply and dearly. I can't believe you're gone. You taught us so much. You were always kind, loving, and so caring. You always brought the family together & you did so one last time.

You told me so many stories about the things you had done in life. You always made everyone smile. The things you had accomplished and learnt in life, and just your respect and kindness, were all beyond admirable.

I remember all the times you'd go in the woods with your chainsaw to chop down trees, put them on your shoulder and carry them out! I remember stacking wood with you, and the fact you were such a hard working man! There's so many memories I could name, but that's just one. There's so much to learn from you and your examples.

I'm blessed to know God provided an opportunity a week before your passing, for my Mom to share the glorious Gospel with you, and that you realized the weight of your sins, and asked God to forgive and save you! I'm comforted to know that because of that, you are now with Christ in Heaven.

That said, it still pains me beyond words to know you are no longer with us. A huge piece of each of us, and the family, has went away. I truly wish I didn't have to say Goodbye.

I'm so thankful for all the time I got to spend with you. So thankful for all the memories, even up to the end. Even in your hospital bed, I was able to show you some more Japanese I learnt which you had started teaching me. You told me it was very good pronunciation, and that meant the world to me!

Thank you for caring about us, loving us, thank you for all the moments and memories which are so precious. Thank you for all that you taught me, from everything to teaching me Japanese, to things about life, about always being patient and kind, respectful, caring, and loving. You set a great example on how to treat people and how to be peaceful. You were such an honourable man!

I'm sorry I didn't get to express these things as much as I wished, while you were here. But thank you for every little thing. You mean the world to me. Thank you for being the absolute best Grandfather in the world.

Life is going to be so insanely tough without you around. Remembering all the memories and wanting to create more but not being able to, is going to pain me so deeply. But I have hope in that I'll see you again, in the presence of our King and Savior!

Don't worry about Mammie or the family, we're all here for each other in this. We'll celebrate the memories we had with you, and your life as a whole. We'll comfort each other, we'll mourn together, and eventually laugh together about all the amazing times we had with you.

There's so much I wished I had done more of, but I'm so thankful nonetheless. Our memories will always be ingrained deep in my heart. You truly were the very best Grandfather in the world. Thank you for everything. I love you so deeply and very much, Pappie!

Watashi wa nihongo ga hanasemasu. Watashi no sofu ga oshiete kureta! Domo Arigato. Sinora. Watashi wa, anata o aishiteimasu, Pappie!

I wish this didn't have to be Goodbye. I'm going to miss you like crazy. Thank you for everything. I love you so very much, Pappie.
