James Womack provides an engaging presentation on the catalyst for Roe v. Wade, the horrible atrocities perpetrated against women in the South in the mid century and Margaret Sanger's view of African Americans.
Mr. James Womack (at the 23 minute mark) made two statements he wishes to modify:

1. Mr. Womack stated "From 1963-2012 (intended to say 1973-2012), there were 60 million abortions in America." Abortions from 1973-2012 were 53.6 million, according to Guttmacher Institute.

2. Mr. Womack stated in the video that 85% of abortions were from the Negro population. Mr. Womack wishes to clarify this statistic (drawn from Mrs. Alveda King's Pro-Life Speech.. In Mrs. Alveda King's Pro-Life speech, Mrs. King states there has been an 85% reduction in the Negro population from all sources of death (natural deaths, suicide, murder, homicides, abortions, accidents, etc.), which Mr. Womack originally inferred to mean abortions.
More than 20 million black babies have been aborted since the 1973 Roe v. Wade U.S. Supreme Court decision legalized abortion in our country. Consider this against a population today of 40 million Black Americans. While black women accounted for 38 percent of reported abortions in 2016, population estimates for 2016 show that African Americans made up just 13.4 percent of the population. This is the latest available data from the CDC.
