Kim Potter Trial Opening Statements & Daunte Wright Criminal History | "Taser, Taser, Taser" Cop

The Brooklyn Center, Minnesota Police Officer (Kim Potter) who accidentally shot Daunte Wright, resulting in his death, has her trial officially begin today. Opening statements from both the Prosecution and the Defense were given, and the first "witness" (Daunte's Mother) gave her testimony on the stand to both sides.

The "Taser, Taser, Taser" cop is charged with 2 different Manslaughter charges and it looks like the Prosecution is going to have a tough time meeting those high benchmarks. This is Minnesota, specifically Minneapolis though, with all the money that the state can muster to get this conviction. It's clearly an accident and the Defense is making that argument, so let's see how this trial progresses, as slowly as it already has...
