Saving My Chicago Hardy Fig Tree + Winter Carrot Harvest

In this video I am trying to save my Chicago hardy fig tree. We live in zone 5. This hardy Chicago fig tree has survived our zone 5 winters for 3 years so far, but it is not thriving. So, I am trying to save it by transplanting it into a large pot, and putting it into my garage. Hardy Chicago fig trees can definitely survive zone 5 winters, but they will not thrive. So here are my attempts at making it thrive.

I am also harvesting some carrots on Dec 3 while the outside temperature is 37 F! Cold, freezing fingers, are a small price to pay for harvesting some delicious carrots.
