Episode Education 3 - Filling out the new teachers at CEDP survey

Screencast of the current CEDP survey for beginning teachers who are new (within 2 years) at the CEDP.

Parra employees - The survey will close Monday 13th December 2021.

The survey is for beginning teachers starting out in the CEDP. If you are in the Parramatta Diocese, they want your feedback.

As far as I can tell, you do not need to be logged in to your staff email to give feedback.

Here’s me doing the survey: https://rumble.com/vqfvnd-no-formal-covid-vaccination-policy-as-of-09122021.html

My response on the Last Page of the Survey:

I am very concerned about side effects of COVID vaccines. I have people in my family and circle of friends who have had very unusual symptoms post-vaccination.

I also have read the draft COVID vaccination policy, which seems to give the CEDP the power to require any number of booster shots for all staff. It also appears that the CEDP can set the deadline for receiving the booster(s) and terminate all staff that do not meet this deadline. This policy clearly states that it will apply even in the absence of a Public Health Order. It is not clear on what basis the CEDP will determine the number of booster shots required and the date(s) upon which staff must comply if we want to remain employed. There may be future government recommendations regarding booster shots, but the basis upon which the CEDP sets the deadline for staff compliance is not clear. This much power resting in the hands of the CEDP, which is primarily not a medical organisation, seems unwarranted and is a cause for concern, given that my colleagues and I wish to remain employed.

I am unsure of the safety data of booster shots.

If staff members get vaccinated as a part of their employment and there are side effects, then I would expect that their next step would be to claim workers compensation. There may be some who are so inclined to seek a legal remedy and sue the CEDP as well.

I have some unvaccinated colleagues in the CEDP, some of whom have been terminated and some of whom have been threatened with termination. If someone has been working from home/remotely during the latter half of Term 4, I see no problem with those arrangements continuing into next year. It seems unfair to me to fire my colleagues who pose no health threat to staff or students.

I feel saddened when some people conflate "vaccinated" with "not infectious". I also feel saddened when some people conflate "unvaccinated" with "infectious". It seems that the Draft COVID policy does conflate "unvaccinated" with "infectious".

It would stand to reason that a person who tests positive for COVID would do well to self-isolate and a person who tests negative for COVID would be fine to teach on-campus and/or be in the office. This would equally apply to those with 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 doses of a vaccine.

I am extremely unhappy about the treatment of my unvaccinated colleagues. They are people too, and I value their contribution to my working environment. I don't want this discrimination to continue a minute longer.
