On the hot seat: Bill Gates humiliated over ties to convicted sexual deviant Jeffrey Epstein

In this excerpt from the 21 September 2021 PBS News Hour [0], anchor host and managing editor Judy Woodruff [*] questions the divorced [1] Bill Gates about his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, who (as wiki tells us [2]) had already been convicted by a Florida court in 2008 of procuring a (14 year old) child for prostitution and of soliciting a prostitute. At the time, "federal officials had identified 36 girls, some as young as 14 years old, whom Epstein had allegedly sexually abused" but as part of his plea deal decided not to proceed with the other indictments.

The sequence here is important. "Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender... managed to lure an astonishing array of rich, powerful and famous men into his orbit... And unlike many other [of those famous men], Mr. Gates started the relationship after Mr. Epstein was convicted of sex crimes." [4]

Bill Gates decided, with full knowledge of Epstein's conviction [3,4], on 31 January 2011 to meet him at the sexual deviant's New York townhouse [4]. The relationship between the two men deepened on multiple occasions. [4]

Bill Gates hid from public view his relationship with the sexual misconduct convict until October 2019 when the New York Times published an article [5] with photographic proof of the relationship one week after his divorce was finalized. Bill Gates was (somewhat understandably) still reticent about his relationship with the sexual deviant until as recently as 10 September 2021, when he was interviewed [6] by the Wall Street Journal.

This question obviously perplexed Judy Woodruff, so she decided on the segment which aired on 21 September 2021 to harpoon Bill Gates repeatedly and (for him) excruciatingly. Who knows but he might well choose to withdraw from the public eye for ever after this injury.

Judy Woodruff and her team deserve the 2021 Pulitzer Prize for this gem. If I am able to reward them directly via targeted donation I will do so because journalism like this--especially in today's foetid media environment and amid the gangrene of America--deserves recognition and encouragement.
