Isaiah Meanderings (20): Ch 23 Isaiah Addresses Tyre - A City at the Center of Maritime Trade

We slow down a bit and listen to Isaiah's words to the city of Tyre in Phoenicia. Their success has lead to pride - as it so often does. God tells Tyre you will be no more. But even then, your heart will not be rightly oriented towards God. Only God himself is able to do such a miraculous thing. Tyre is a city that will eventually come to believe in Christ. Isaiah speaks into a distant future words of hope that only time can deliver.
