Storm Barra causes flooding in Cork, Ireland

Storm Barra hit Ireland on Tuesday (07/12) causing power cuts and flooding in Cork.

Twitter users in Cork have taken to social media this morning to share the footage of flooding as Storm Bara rolls in.

One video filmed in the early hours of the morning shows commuter desperately contending with flooded streets in their vehicles while another shows an area of Morrison's Island completely under water.

The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings for wind across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, while yellow snow warnings are in place for southern and western Scotland.
