I recently bought a Nest Hello Video Doorbell to install at our front door, to give us better security after a rash of property crimes in our area.

I bought the doorbell and then installed it shortly after receiving it. The doorbell looks beautiful, it has a high quality look and feel to it, like other nest products we've owned in the past like their thermostat. The video quality is top notch and we've had no problems whatsoever with the doorbell,, or the companion app.

The one problem that we did have was when we were installing the doorbell and trying to add it to our account. When installing the doorbell the app goes through the different steps of adding the doorbell by scanning it, adding the WiFi password, and then testing it out. The process would go fine until the end of the process when it tried to add the doorbell to our account. At that point it would error out and give an error:

"Something went wrong. There was a problem adding the camera to your Nest account. NC009 (15.5)."

When I checked the help file for that error code, it says that the error code means:

"These error codes mean your internet firewall may be preventing the Nest app from adding Nest Cam to your network. Or, there may be some other issue with your network."

I finally was able to add the doorbell to our Nest account by doing the setup process while connected to a separate WiFi hotspot that we had, and then after completing the setup process successfully, the Doorbell was added to our account. We then updated the WiFi network to the correct one, and it's been working fine ever since. So if you have similar issues, try connecting to a different WiFi network to set it up and then update the WiFI and see if that works for you.
