Excellent piece for the Collector

Shawnee Cornucopia 1256

Shawnee pottery originated in 1937 in Zanesville, Ohio, when "Buy in America "campaigns were popular. They were named after a local Native American tribe that was located in the Zanesville area. At the height of their operation, they produced nearly 10,000 pieces a day intended for sale at five and dime stores. Due to increase foriegn competition after WWII sales declined and they closed their doors in 1961.

This lovely cornucopia vase measures 6" tall and is in excellent condition. The bottom contains the " U" mark and "1256" inscribed. It has no chips or cracks that I can find. This a wonderful piece for any collection
