This old-fashioned cornbread dressing is slightly sweet. It's the base recipe for a quick and simple dressing that cooks in an hour! You can add turkey, sausage or whatever protein that you like. The seasonings are to my liking, so if you like more or less adjust for your taste.

Full Recipe:
2 cartons of sweet cornbread.
1 1/2 to 2 loaves of white bread which have been left to go stale
2 cartons of broth (adjust to your desired moistness)
1 pkg of cubed stuffing mix
2 beaten eggs
1 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp of ground sage
1tbsp each onion powder, season salt, dry thyme, poultry season
Sautee 2 med onions, 4 ribs of celery, 2 green (bell) peppers in 1 cup of butter.
Combine and taste for seasoning. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour or until a knife dipped in the middle comes out clean.
