In Isaiah 14:12 through 19, Isaiah speaks to the nation of Judah by prophesying regarding different nations around them. The point Isaiah is making is that these nations, currently, with power; will quickly be defeated - their power will be no more - for they serve idols that cannot save them (unlike the nation of Judah - who's God is always willing and able to save). Furthermore, Isaiah speaks of God's looking to the long-awaited day, when each of these nations will have a heart oriented to God, and will be nations that worship the true God, the only God who is not an idol. In right relationship with God - right relationship of worship in Jerusalem - all the nations will be at rest and will know the fullness of life for which they have been created.
