A Notary is a Public officer sworn in by the Governers office to serve the public as an impartial witness, to take oaths, acknowledgment, affirmations, jurats & officiate weddings. A Notary Public carries a seal or stamp specific to them with a commission number on it. This seal is much like a badge. Whilel Notaries are couriers of an array of legal documents, they cannot offer legal advice.
