Outside the Central Market, Grote St,
Adelaide, since 2021

Jason Sims, the artist, called this
Golden Rhombohedron (Obtuse).

Another name of this interesting geometric object is Obtuse Golden Rhombic-hexahedron (OGR)

These mathematical or geometric terms seems intimidating, right?

Let's start with the easiest part
Hexa - six
Hedron - faces
Rhombo=rhombic=rhombus

A rhombus is a skewed square keeping its all sides parallel and of equal length.
Similarly a Rhombohedron is a skewed cube, with all six faces the same rhombic look, parallel in pairs.

What is a Golden Rhombus?
This is the wonderful part related to the Golden Ratio or the Fibonacci number....

My craft (not a piece of art) in 2019 is simply called a "Ten Point Star" as it is made of 10 OGR, inspired by the angle between two faces of an OGR - 36 degrees.
