Cops have refused to investigate a Yodel driver who crashed into a car and drove off – despite the owner filming the incident on CCTV.

Crystal-clear footage shows the Ford Transit driver reverse into the Toyota RAVV4 at such speed it smashed the car’s rear window.

CCTV shows the driver, who is wearing a hi-vis vest, inspect the damage before he leaps back into his van.

The filthy white van then reverses at speed past the damaged car and up the street in Sutton Coldfield, West Mids.

Homeowner Mohammad El-Hilu, 33, looks after the car which belonged to his late father-in-law.

The account manager reported the crash, which happened outside his home on October 27, and provided police with the CCTV.

He even gave them the van’s number plate but West Midlands Police refused to press charges, claiming there was a “lack of evidence”.

Mr El-Hilu said: “I had moved the Toyota onto the road while work was done on my house and it was not insured.”

“I reported it to police but they told me the case was closed due to a lack of evidence.

“I gave them everything, the video, the number plate, a description of the guy but I get an email back saying the case is closed.

“I just feel that they can’t be bothered. It's lazy.

“It is very frustrating. Not only has the car been damaged but I feel that no one cares. The driver just hit our car and drove off.

This video was filmed on the 27th October 2021.
