Three coastal towns on the Spanish island of La Palma have had their lockdown measures lifted, as molten rock and toxic gases poured out of the infamous Cumbre Vieja volcano.

The lava flow is said to be moving "at great speed" - an estimated 600 meters per hour - and has forced the local airport to remain in shut down for almost a week now
