Today we have woken up to a significant move lower in the stock market as the Dow futures dropped as much as 1000 points and European stock market indices dropped over 3 percent.

The reason being given is a new South African variant and fears that we could be on the cusp of more lockdowns.

We, nevertheless, think there are cracks in the financial system that have been appearing recently so we will go over them too.
