Maintain Colorful Stems: Willow and Dogwood

Brightly colored plant stems can really brighten up the garden. I enjoy the ornamental bark of many trees and shrubs, but the star of my "winter garden" are the willows and dogwoods with their yellow, orange and red stems. To keep the color every year, these shrubs should be pruned down low in the spring. BTW, here's a scene with the resulting shrub: https://youtu.be/n3axUaMXGa4 I missed putting it in.
