How Much Light Do Cuttings Need?

When you propagate plants using the cutting method, it's important to give special attention to the growing environment: light, temperature, air movement and humidity. In this video, I'll focus on light. The new cutting has limited access to moisture, so can't handle the same intensity of light as the "mother" plant, at least until it begins to root. One good way to get an idea of how much light you need is to use a light measuring app on your smart phone. It may not be very precise overall, but it can at least give you a comparison between the light levels in various locations.
