Make Clay from Garden Soil

You can extract clay from home garden soil (dirt) - and the method is easy to understand using the "mason jar" clay soil test. This method is not-so-fast and dirty, but quite easy! It allows rocks, sand and silt to settle out from a soil suspension, then siphons off the "clay water". Given time to settle itself, the resulting layer of clay is relatively pure as shown at the end of my video. Whether this clay would be suitable for pottery, bricks or other uses is beyond the scope of my own knowledge, but fun project nonetheless!
