In this video you will learn School Subjects in Spanish and some Classroom Vocabulary

You will notice that some of the words are cognates of English. A cognate means that they look similar and they have the same meaning in both languages. For example, the word "university" in English looks the same as "la universidad" in Spanish and they both have the same meaning. The word "university" in English and the word "universidad" in Spanish are true cognates of each other. Cognates will typically be easier to remember than other vocabulary due to these similarities. Please note: Be aware of false cognates. Stay tuned for a future lesson of false cognates.
