Direct object pronouns in Spanish will replace the noun and they will be placed before the verb.
me -me
te -you
lo- him, it (m), you formal
la -her, it (f), you formal
nos -us
los- them, you all formal & for plural items (m)
las - them, you all formal & for plural items (f)
me, te, nos refer to people only.
lo, la, los, las could refer to people or things
flor (f) flower singular and flores (f) plural
so we need the "las" pronoun to replace "flores"
Yo compro unas flores. (I buy flowers)
Yo las compro. (I buy them)
As you can see in English the pronoun stays in the same spot of the noun that it replaces, but in Spanish the pronoun moves before the verb.
If it is negative you will place the "No" before the pronoun.
Yo no las compro. ( I do not buy them.)
If you have two verbs you can do either of these steps.
Keep putting the pronoun in front of the first verb A. or attach the pronoun to the second verb B.
1. Yo voy a comprar unas flores. (I am going to flowers.)
A. Yo las voy a comprar. ( I am going to buy them.)
B. Yo voy a comprarlas. ( I am going to buy them.)
If it is negative remember to put the "No" before the pronoun/verb
1. Yo no voy a comprar unas flores. (I am not going to buy flowers.)
A. Yo no las voy a comprar. (I am not going to buy them.)
B. Yo no voy a comprarlas. (I am not going to buy them.)
