Army Ranger and war hero violated by Niagara County Sheriffs, DA and court system; David Mongielo

We sat down with David Mongielo again to discuss a story he was involved with. In this situation, a decorated Army Ranger was harassed by Niagara County Sheriffs at a DUI stop. David passed every test they made him do, and then when he questioned if the officers body cam was on, he was arrested and charged.

The officers used this to illegally search his vehicle, calling it a "vehicle inventory" and found two 16 round magazine clips inside his glove compartment and he was charged additionally for these. He had no weapon in his vehicle, but he was charged anyway.

The financial and personal loss this individual had to endure was unacceptable and intolerable, especially given this man had so proudly served his country. Why would this be the case? What possible justification would someone have to abuse their authority and subject this man, his friends and family to this?

Certainly he wasn't a threat, and judgement could've been exercised, much as is the case when their is a second tier of justice, and selective enforcement for member of law enforcement, judges, DA's, politicians and government employees. A tier of justice that these people are let off with not so much as a mention of the crime they have committed, all while these same individuals throw the proverbial book at individuals in our community who've committed the most innocuous and harmless of crimes.

In the opinion of The Experience Media, this practice has been one that's been fostered and accepted for far too long in our communities.
