If you walk into a store to buy bread, and leave without that item, did you succeed in acquiring it?

Should I admit I HAVEN'T done the "right things" to get me into the National Basketball Associations list of players?

If I ought to be doing the two things listed above, should I not be EQUALLY WILLING TO ADMIT, the supposed mitigations in place for COVID-19 have not succeeded?

It would be one thing if after NEARLY TWO YEARS of social distancing (something I do naturally, by the way), masking, lock-downs, and more recently, a pretty good number of people getting vaccinated (but still getting the virus, spreading it, and having bad effects from it), things were looking that much better.

Can you honestly say they are?

I certainly have a hard time believing that.

This is what today's edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics discusses.

When I'm able to complete the companion article on the Kurt's Religion and Politics blog, I'll post a link to it here.
