Ephesians 6:10-17

God has given to you precisely what you need to withstand the devil and this evil day in His Holy Word. Even today you are being equipped with the truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation. And He puts into your hand the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God. This is being wielded deftly today by the liturgy of prayer, hymnody, and preaching to cut down our enemies and defend us from false beliefs. The battle is fought and won by Christ’s death upon the cross and resurrection from the grave. And from the right hand of God, He shelters you by His Holy Word to be faithful with perseverance until the end.
