He made many of the films that made us who we are. From the late 80s through the 90s, Richard Donner was the director of so many of the movies that informed our development as genre fans: SUPERMAN, LADYHAWKE, THE GOONIES, LETHAL WEAPON, MAVERICK, THE OMEN, and more. Plus, there's all the television he directed: TALES FROM THE CRYPT, KOJAK, THE WILD WILD WEST, GET SMART, and perhaps most impactful: THE BANANA SPLITS and GILLIGAN'S ISLAND.

And let's not forget "Nighmare at 20,000 Feet" with William Shatner.
