The Difference And Balance Between A Traditional Brick And Mortar Business And An Online Business

Hi I'm .Darren, and I'm here with Karen today to talk a little bit about her online business. So Karen when did you start your business?

I start my business back in September 2018.

So you're coming up on two years.

This September, yes it creeps up fast.

And what would you say is your favorite thing about this business?

I just love like meeting new people, connecting with people from all around the world, because you're the complete stranger, but just, you know on a certain level, you feel
like you connect with them because you know, you all come back from, you know, we
live in a different part of the world, but somehow it's the same routine that we go through, or in the same situation, and it's nice to reach out, and be able to connect, and talk it out, and totally like, be oh my god, I totally know what you mean kind of thing. So it's kind of quite cool yeah.

And how would you say your life has changed in, you know the past year and a half, or almost two years, that you've been doing this business?

It's been changed like a lot in like every aspect. Like financially I feel very secure, because you know, I'm a small business owner, so you know if the economy's up and down, you worry. And when there's no business, like you don't have work, and that means you can't put pay the bills. But with this, as a secondary source, it actually almost surpasses what I earn, with my other business. So it, and then with my other business, I don't like the fact that when you close, that's mean no business, no work. So when we travel on vacation, it's always a risk that when we come back, the work will not be there, because our client may be forced to send their work elsewhere. But with this business, we are free to travel whenever, because business can still run while you travel. So that is the one thing that is really changed in my life, is that travel without worry, or stress. And also, on a personal development, like you know, we get stuck in the daily grind, and we forget to just, like appreciate our life, or be grateful for what we have, and look at the little things, and just cherish every moment. So that kind of just put my life in a different perspective. Because before with the daily grind, paying your bills, you just keep go, go, go like a robot, and you forget to live life really. But with this, it's like you get to just sit back, and relax, and really reflect, and enjoy life and enjoy helping others, and just open new doors for them.
