Onyx Bold Nicaragua Toro Cigar Review

This 6x54 stick features a very dark cocoa, firmly packed oily wrapper with significant tooth, large double cap and pungent musty hay aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with thick rich medium-full bodied smoke showing a smooth deep earth quickly followed by a mellow pepper and jalapeno spice that's quite intense through the nose. Pepper and a sweet heat builds late in the finish. The first third quickly shifts in notes to a sweet plumb, light coffee followed by a touch of dark cocoa through the now long finish. The pepper and spice come way down, with a now enjoyable retrohale. The 1/2 way point hits at a slower 35 minutes dropping the plumb and bringing back more of the pepper and spice kick. Ending at 1:10 the last third ramped up the strength to full - be warned! Flavors were the same with almost 2" remaining, if you can handle it.
