Monday Moments 11-15-21

I pulled this together from a fragmented memory.

I was lounging around laying low when at someone at the door knocked.

Based on history they were just stopping by to see where the party was.

When they chose not to leave and continued knocking I got up off my hinder and went to the door.

To my surprise two Marathon County Sheriff Officers were standing there shivering because it was pretty cold outside.

I invited in to get out of the cold and to find out what they were up to.

They told me they had received a call of disturbance and loud noises coming from my residence.

I looked around the room and being the only one there I wondered who could have made such a statement and why.

Reminded that the landlord lived right across the street I told the officers that they seem to have some sort of vendetta against me in my roommate at the time.

The officers told me they've been out side for quite some time and heard nothing, they told me they observed my place and the only activity in the neighborhood was from the corner bar down the street.

Well it was right next door.

They went on about their way with no recourse, no scolding, no threats of behavioral correctness.

Sometime later I told the landlord that I had joined the Navy and planned on moving out.

I told them that the Hiawatha caused a lot of trouble for me and my roommate.

They swore that was my problem, not theirs.

Don't be so quick to judge other people, look outside the box just a little further to see what type of circumstances surround them. #dbrn
