20211115 The Price is, Wrong? - The Daily Summation

I DIDN'T say this in the current edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics, but it's AWFULLY HARD for folks to put a price on dreams and nice-sounding ideas.

It's hard enough when they're trying to be pragmatic in looking at things.

What makes that even harder for many things, is the failure to understand "hidden expenses."

If you look at a lot of the things being sold under ideas like the "Green New Deal," you may miss the sheer cost of them to begin with.

Add to that an often VERY HIGH ancillary cost in what happens to the environment (how much it'll cost to in all ways to create new materials; trash generated removing old ones), and most people ALMOST CERTAINLY HEAVILY UNDER PRICE things.

The same applies to electric cars on a large scale. What are the costs of producing those batteries? What about the environmental costs?

This is what today's video discusses.

When I have an opportunity to complete the companion article on the Kurt's Religion and Politics blog, I'll post a link to it here.
