There are no vain repetitions in Heaven, yet here on earth, these two bear repeat listens! ❤️

Praise God! Detroiters praise God! Make Christ your King as you listen to two Christians hymns sing! Hear now some hymns sung sweetly from the street in Detroit.

Because I am known to pick up a guit-fiddle eleventy-eight times in a coon's age, I know what a humbucker is, but I am a deeper man now to find that these two street-corner, cashed case, crooning Christians are "Hymn-buskers!"

It was a cold autumn's day upon which JB & TP were to be spied on Russell Street in Detroit's Eastern Market, the second oldest farmers market in the Western Hemisphere outside of Mexico City. The duo flung out Old South-sounding power duets from the broken up boy-girl band, "The Civil Wars." I had a Russian-made 1980's (possibly radioactive) 400mm f/4.5 lens attached on the business end of my camera body, which got me the image seen in the thumbnail for this video. Clearly, that was impractical (at least it then was to me), so I switched to my second lens on hand, my Nikkor 35mm f/2 (ca. 1981) lens, which did the job well despite my mistakes here and there as one would expect from someone two months short of six years into doing street photography in Detroit. The music they made was good, and they let me talk to them longer than they played on camera and microphone for me, which, considering the young man's chattering teeth from the dense cold there, was a blessing in addition to the exquisitely harmonized, properly-gospel-y music. The goodness I got I give to you as much as I can in this presentation, and your prayers are my immediate requested reward. God Bless you.
