Jellyfish, animals, marine animals, jellyfish in the sea, marine jellyfish

Jellyfish are coelenterates. Medusa (Polypomedusae meduza) is a representative of the marine fauna. The jellyfish class, which also includes freshwater hydras, consists of many sea creatures, some of which are very large and conspicuous. Jellyfish are probably some of the most unusual and mysterious creatures you will ever encounter. With their gelatinous bodies and drooping tentacles, they look more like something from a horror movie than a real animal. But if you can get past the weirdness of jellyfish - and the fact that getting too close to them results in nasty bites - you'll find that jellyfish are quite adorable. They have been around for over 650 million years and have thousands of different species, with more and more species still being discovered.
