Camping Chuck Box

I built a chuck box system called the Grubby Two using plans I purchased from blueskykitchen.com Let me first apologize to this company for calling out the incorrect name several times throughout this video. I guess I was so excited to be presenting this awesome project that just I forgotten the name. Also, thank you for engineering this great system and providing the woodworking public with the plans to build these excellent camp kitchens for ourselves. This was such a fun project and even though I’ve been a wood worker for many years, this project took me back high school woodshop. I built a desk my Junior year and for some reason this reminded me of that project.

A chuck box is a great way to store your camp cooking gear that ultimately converts into a camp kitchen. I’ve wanted to make one of these for years and it’s finally happened. The project took me approximately 4 months working off and on between backpacking trips, a huge family vacation and lots of busy life events. The time was worth it as this will be a great piece of equipment that will come in handy for many years to come. It may even be something I pass on to my children to use with my grandkids. Who knows, only time will tell. One thing is certain, it will be something that will make cooking in the outdoors a bit of a luxury as it looks as nice as a piece of indoor furniture.
