Midnight NYC Bike Ride Down Hudson River Greenway (Upper Manhattan to Midtown)

From yesterday afternoon through night, a carnivore-ish friend and I made the most of what will probably be the last day of the year that’ll feel like spring!

To conclude this perfect adventure, I enjoyed a beautiful solo ride down the Hudson River Greenway on the way home. I rode from Upper Manhattan, with a view of the river, down to Midtown Manhattan with the road (almost) all to myself, ending with a view of the Empire State Building. Just under ten miles without traffic ― a precious thing on this island!

For a few months now, ever since I first rode that stretch, I’ve wanted to share this experience with you. Now I’ve finally caught it! I hope you enjoy this glimpse into another side of New York City ― my big, crazy hometown.
