advantages of content marketing

Here's yet another huge, magical advantage to using a content marketing strategy to build your audience and attract visitors to your online business: A single piece of content can be much more than whatever it was initially formatted as.

For instance, very often when one of my students emails me and asks a question and I reply with a detailed answer...I immediately think, "This would make a great article" or "I should make this into a video."

Because obviously, if one of my students is asking me this question, then surely there are other people facing the same issue, right?

So an email becomes a video or an article. Or an article or blog post becomes a video. Content that winds up on the editing room floor...that gets cut from my online courses gets carefully archived and becomes future videos, posts, or articles (sometimes all three!)

Or sometimes several articles can be bundled together into a special report, a free downloadable PDF or a video series.

For a long time, I thought that I shouldn't do this...that content had to always be original and unique. But after a while I realized that some of my students only watch my videos, while others like to read my articles.

So since I've already gone to all the work to put the content together, I'd actually be short changing and NOT serving the students who prefer that content in a different format.

And since my whole mission and purpose is to help and serve my audience, then I wouldn't be fulfilling that or serving them by NOT providing them with the content they want in the format they want.
