Aretha Franklin Resurrects an Old Feud with Dionne Warwick

More than five years ago, Dionne Warwick made a comment at Whitney Houston’s funeral, and Aretha Franklin is still not pleased, the Associated Press reported Tuesday.

It seems that the legendary singer takes this feud too seriously to rely on anything besides archaic technology to rebut it. Franklin sent “a lengthy fax” to the A.P. on Monday before calling Tuesday to discuss what she said was a “libelous” statement that Warwick made in 2012.

According to Franklin, Warwick said the following at Houston’s funeral:

“’Ree's not here, but she is here. She loves Whitney as if she were born to her. She is her godmother.”
