After praying that our dog Roni (family member for 13 years) could die at home and not on a cold steel table, her last day came and I had the privilege of holding her as she took her last breath....at home. God cares about every aspect of your life, even your pets. I said I would learn this song someday to honor Roni. Mark Tremonti wrote this for his Mom but I think it applies to all those we have loved and lost. Thanks for writing this ! Myles Kennedy sings it with such sincere emotion it still chokes me up almost every time I hear it.
