Deer Hunting w/ Dogs - I Shot A Buck, The Dogs Bayed It Down!!

don't know why, but for some reason I was feeling lucky. I ended trying to stand on a new spot that I've never stood before. Glad I did, because a 5-point buck ended up running to me after one of the other standers missed him. Unfortunately, the first shot wasn't good enough to stop the deer in his tracks completely so the deer got back up. Some dogs found the more warmer track and ran across him while he was still alive. So many dogs was on him to the point where I could not get a shot on him without hurting any of the hounds. We let them fight the deer until we had a clear shot with a 9mm pistol.
