Deer Hunting w/ Dogs - Those Hounds Can't Stand A Deer!

This hunting trip was a little more action packed than usual. Originally, I wasn't going to turn loose any hounds on the first drive but I got a call telling me otherwise. I put two beagles in where they needed to go because we had a deer trying to sit tight in the woods. The beagles pushed a small buck out and they ended up getting out of the hunt. On the following drive, I turned loose my whole dog box. The hounds went in a thick briar bed and jumped a deer but quickly shut off. Other hounds turned the deer away from my direction causing confusion with the track!
