Katie McCabe is the October WSL Player of the Month.

Katie McCabe was selected the October Women's Super League Player of the Month.

McCabe has been in fantastic form for Arsenal this season, having captained Ireland to a huge victory in Finland last month.

So far this season, the 26-year-old has three goals and three assists in five league games for her side.

Arsenal now leads the WSL table by three points above Chelsea, having won five of their first five games.

McCabe, who has played at fullback and on the wing, has been compared to former England teammate Stuart Pearce by Arsenal veteran Ian Wright earlier this month.

"Honestly, Katie McCabe bro, she just likes to watch here," Wright said. "The trouble is, she's right down our side in the second half."

"Do you have any idea who she reminds me of? As a participant? She reminds me a lot of Stuart Pearce. She's doing a Stuart Pearce run, she's simply steamrolling, no nonsense. Gets slammed into, gets up, and goes about his business."
