POROROCA WHEN PAU BREAKS IN THE AMAZON RIVER

The documentary presents one of the most revered and appreciated phenomena in the Amazon, especially in the State of Amapá. Pororoca occurs at the mouth of the Amazon River in the states of Pará, Amapá and Maranhão. It occurs when it comes into contact with the tide of the Atlantic Ocean, causing waves of three to six meters in height along the river of approximately 20 kilometers.
