Friendly Octopus Attaches To Diver's Feet Shanger Danger A friendly octopus clings to a pair of divers, climbing on their feet and even holding on to their faces. When Shane Brown and his friends swam in the crystal-clear waters off the west coast of Oahu, Hawaii, on June 5, they were joined by a new marine partner. The gooey cephalopod first wrapped its tentacles around Sammy Heath's legs, even allowing him to stroke his head when held tightly. After sucking himself into the side of his glasses as Sammy dived, the octopus then moved to Angel Chavez's feet as he swam across the Pacific Ocean.
