Mental Analysis (MA)
One area that is often assumed, yet neglected, is the biggest area of all.
This area, Mental Analysis, deals with understanding the fear and greed that each participant needs to control, and advantageously use, in order to experience consistent success, if above index average returns are desired.
Many fail in this area.
The alternative is typically to develop an investment program of long-term growth based on average returns, dollar-cost averaging and an assumption that, over lengthy periods of time, the markets will go up.
The MA Bible
Efficient Market Hypothesis
The Efficient Market Hypothesis (EMH), disagrees with both Fundamental and Technical Analysis.
EMH believes that:
Neither FA or TA can do better than the market.
Market participants immediately take advantage of an opportunity for above average returns because all stock prices are adjusted on an ongoing basis, making longer-term outperformance unlikely.
